Scorsese, who recently made a new 'rockumentary' on the Rolling Stones, is planning to document the 'New York, New York' singer’s life--and finally end speculation that the late star was part of the American mobster scene.Sinatra's daughter--who produced a 1992 miniseries about her dad entitled Sinatra--insists the filmmaker had always wanted to present the truth about her father, who died on May 14, 1998. She says, 'Marty has always wanted to do this. I trust him implicitly.' .

Director Rob Cohen has criticized British actress Rachel Weisz for refusing to return for the third installment of the Mummy trilogy.The 37-year-old shot to international stardom after appearing in 1999's original movie, The Mummy. And despite appearing in 2001 follow-up The Mummy Returns, she turned down a role in the forthcoming sequel, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor--blaming the location for her decision. Her representative insisted the actress didn't feel comfortable spending five months shooting in China as her son Henry is not yet 2 years old. But the film's director Cohen claims she actually turned down the part because movie bosses had made her character too old. He tells Britain's Heat magazine, 'I got a very angry phone from her agent, saying she'll never play the mother of a 21-year-old. I said, 'OK, good, fine, bye.'' Weisz has been replaced by Maria Bello in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which is due for release later this year.

Funnyman Robin Williams has paid tribute to his estranged wife Marsha, thanking her for not turning their divorce battle into a messy and expensive affair. Williams and his soon-to-be ex filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. And now the actor has gone public with his thoughts about the upcoming divorce battle. Obsessed Uma Thurman fan Jack Jordan has been found guilty of stalking and harassing the Hollywood star. The jury at New York's Manhattan Supreme Court delivered its verdict shortly before midday on Tuesday. Jordan, 37, was found guilty of fourth-degree stalking and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment. He was vindicated on two other aggravated harassment charges--but could still face jail time. Stalking can carry a 90-day sentence, and aggravated harassment can lead to 12 months behind bars, reports TMZ.com.

Rocker John Mayer has hinted that magazine reports claiming he is romancing Jennifer Aniston are true--and admits he loves the press attention he is getting as a result. The pair was snapped embracing on a Miami beach last week, prompting speculation they are an item. Mayer had refused to speak out about the rumors until Monday night--when he almost revealed all to reporters at New York's Costume Institute Gala. Scarlett Johansson has announced her engagement to actor boyfriend Ryan Reynolds. The couple has been dating since February 2007, shortly after Reynolds broke off his engagement to singer Alanis Morissette. Uma Thurman took the stand and faced her accused stalker in Manhattan State Supreme Court on Thursday, calling her experiences with Jack Jordan a 'nightmare.' The actress, who stood trembling on the witness stand, admitted she was 'freaked out' when the accused allegedly delivered a card bearing a picture of an open grave and a man standing on the edge of a razor blade. Thurman said, 'It was like a nightmare. It was scary.' She recalled the disturbing note also featured the line 'My hands should be on your body at all times.' The Kill Bill star also told the court that when she called her parents, who testified in the case earlier this week, to alert them about what she had received, her father informed her that he had also received email messages from Jordan. Australian actress Nicole Kidman is to play Dusty Springfield in a new biopic of the singer's life. The 40-year-old star will team up again with Michael Cunningham--who scripted her Oscar-winning performance in 2002's The Hours. The movie will chronicle Springfield's rise to fame in the 1960s and touch on her battles with alcohol, drugs and mental health problems before her death from breast cancer in 1999. Screenwriter Cunningham says, 'It will be the real Dusty, a great artist who no one knew what to do with. But she is going into history with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.'

Jennifer Lopez has denied fans the chance of an in-depth look at her world in her forthcoming reality TV show--as the program will not feature any aspects of her personal life. But now the star has insisted the show, commissioned for cable channel TLC, will only cover the launch of her new fragrance--and not her home life. Lopez's manager Simon Fields has revealed that anyone hoping for a glimpse of her life with husband Marc Anthony and their twin babies will be disappointed. He tells People.com, 'The recent show Jennifer Lopez plans to produce for TLC is not a reality show. 'It's a show that will track the creation, production and eventual launch of a new fragrance. Jennifer will appear in a creative, entrepreneurial capacity and will absolutely not feature her children and family life.'

Wesley Snipes has requested he be allowed to serve his three-year prison sentence at a facility near his New Jersey home. The Blade actor was handed the term by Florida Judge William Terrell Hodges after he was convicted of failing to file his taxes for five years. His legal team has asked the judge and prison officials to house him in a federal prison as close to his home as possible--and officials have vowed to accommodate his wishes. Bureau of Prisons spokesperson Felicia Ponce says, 'We try to house inmates within 500 miles of their residence so they can maintain ties with their family and community.'

Studio executives in Hollywood fear the release of new video game Grand Theft Auto IV could affect the success of summer blockbusters including Iron Man and The Dark Knight. The game--the latest in the hugely popular series--goes on sale on Tuesday and is expected to sell millions of copies across the globe. But movie executives are afraid that so many young men will stay at home playing video games that it will affect the box office figures for their high-profile movies, for which males are their prime target audience. Warner home video executive Ron Sanders says, 'Video games are a major source of competition for the disposable income of young males. 'We avoid releasing big titles on dates that appeal to young men.'

Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Benji Madden are facing legal action from a photographer in Los Angeles, after reportedly running over his foot with their car. The socialite left the city's exclusive Foxtail nightspot with her rocker beau on Thursday night by car, with Madden behind the wheel. The vehicle was surrounded by photographers vying for pictures of the couple, but as shown in footage posted on TMZ.com, one snapper is heard screaming with pain as the car passed over his foot. Madden is seen climbing out of the vehicle and walking over to the paparazzo, but subsequently got back into the car and drove off. But now, according to the Web site, the snapper has reportedly filed a hit-and-run complaint against the couple at the L.A. Sheriff's Department.
